30 Freezer Meals to Prepare for New Moms

A thing we’ve both learned rather quickly is that dinner time is no joke when you have a young baby. Between cluster feedings and too-short of naps, there often isn’t time (or space?!) to whip up the dinners we were used to making. We both did some prep work on freezer meals before having babies (Laura even added this deep freezer to their kitchen!) and bookmarked a handful of recipes for the future. That being said, the most welcome sight in those early weeks was someone coming to visit and arriving with a meal in hand! Stews, soups, and casseroles quickly became our favorites to see because they freeze well, so could be had at a later date if our fridge happened to be filled with other gifted meals.

We’ve rounded up 30 stew, soup, and casserole recipes that are perfect to bring to a new mom!

  1. Nice post! And thanks for sharing out my Brunswick Stew and the 3 Cheese Casserole! Funny but i always intended to post more freezer meals but my freezer was stolen (yeah really) a couple of years ago. I’ve been on the fence about replacing it but it really does save time & money to have one!!

    • Stolen?! I have to hear this story. I’ve been LOVING having a deep freezer (we got this one (https://amzn.to/35ExPwH) because it’s small, but even that additional space helps!), it makes me feel much more prepared for weeknight “ugh what are we going to have for dinner” conundrums.
