- We finally bought a rocking chair for our nursery! It’s been on my list for a while and I’d been putting off the decision. We finally choose one from GDF Studio and were able to get one at half price (~$80!) by visiting their outlet store in LA. I love that it matches our modern decor but it is still super comfy!
- I am considering getting a pair of AirPods for when the baby arrives. I think it will be super helpful to not have cords in the way while holding a little one. I am having an internal debate about the purchase and really hoping a deal magically pops up in the near future.
- I was excited to discover that Hilton and Lyft have a partnership where you can earn Hilton points when riding with Lyft. There is also a bonus right now for 1,000 points after your first ride. I love finding new ways to maximize the way I spend money on travel and earn in new ways.
- In much less exciting travel news. LAX is ending its curbside rideshare pickups. Now travelers will need to shuttle to an offsite location to get a pick up there. It sounds like getting to the airport is going to become a lot more difficult.

- I’ve had quite the couple of weeks. Our house had a hot water leak that caused mold to grow under the house and in our flooring, so we’ve been out of the house while some work is done, bouncing around a few different places to stay. While packing (in a bit of a rush) I actually referenced my own recent post on traveling with a baby to make sure I had everything I needed for Ernie!
- Stella and I are both Yelp Elite (for the time being… my review count has definitely slowed with a baby) and I love hearing about the ways the platform is growing and changing. To celebrate their 15th anniversary, Yelp put together a bunch of lists surrounding what people review and a cool infographic detailing food and review trends over the last 15 years.
- The mother’s room at my office is a little bit lacking in the looks department. While I’m very thankful to be provided a secluded place to pump, I’m going to try to spruce it up a bit so it’s not quite so depressing when I’m there multiple times every day. So far in my cart: this fake tree, a side table, some art, a corkboard, and this mirror.
- Speaking of work, one of my VPs was recently profiled in this Authority Magazine piece on “5 Things I Wish Someone Told Me Before I Became an Executive.” I’ve looked up to her for a number of years (we actually worked together at my last position, too, so I’ve known her for almost 7 years!) and thought this was a great read.
I haven’t stopped by for a bit, but you ladies are busy, busy, busy with work and babies! ) I loved knowing about the yelp! Minnesota’s list list was funny and cheese curds, sausages and sauerkraut!!
