  1. I’m celebrating my 6-year work-aversary at UCLA on Monday, wow time flies! Screen Shot 2019-03-22 at 5.54.34 PM.png
  2. I’ve gotten behind in one of my favorite podcasts so listened to a slightly older episode today but wanted to share it anyway because it was so good! The podcast is Household Name – the brands you know and the stories you don’t. They tell stories of big household brand names but the lesser known ones that you’ve probably never heard of. I listened to the one about Martha Stewart, Macy’s and JC Penny today and loved it.
  3. My husband and I discovered a cool new site this week, it’s called Supercook and you plug in all the ingredients you’ve got in stock and they produce a list of recipes that you can make without going to the store. Very excited to start using it!
  4. I’ve fallen down the reddit rabbit hole of the subreddit “you should know” this week and discovered a slew of life tips and tricks!
  5. I am not a huge politics news person, but do my best to stay up to date. I really enjoyed the site All Sides that shows you a topic and then lists articles from multiple points of view so that you can feel informed about the information are receiving and see what each party thinks of the issue. It certainly makes me feel like a more informed reader/voter!

  1. I learned about “mod pools” this week which are pools created from upcycled shipping containers and think the concept is beyond genius. They were mentioned in this Design Milk article about Flophouze, a hotel where the rooms are also created from shipping containers that I now want to stay in. Definitely has peaked my inspiration on upcycling!2019-03-14 07.16.48
  2. I’m always game for a great Frugalwoods article and this week did not disappoint. Mrs. Frugalwoods gave a tremendous rundown on different credit cards, their rewards, how to best maximize rewards for your lifestyle, etc. Very solid read that I highly recommend.
  3. /r/rabbits is my favorite subreddit (we post the #hausbunns on there every now and again), and this post of a bunny standing on his tip toes to nibble on a flower made me melt.
  4. I binged the first eight episodes of the Motherly podcast this week and have really enjoyed the many perspectives of what it means to be a good mother. In particular I appreciated Tiffany Dufu’s episode and can’t wait to read her book, ‘Drop the Ball‘ based on everything she shared in her episode!

  1. I just forget about reddit all the time, but it is always fascinating no matter what subject you get into. I have been over run by rabbits. My neighbor has been feeding all the wild ones, a coyote has moved into the area to eat them, so I’m not feeling bunnies these days, to say the least!!

I think I’m going to have to check out ALL Sides, back in the day your weren’t a real journalist unless you covered more than one perspective! And Frugalwoods!!

Let us know what you think!
