It’s A Thing 8.3.18

- I’ve bought a few super cute dresses on Poshmark lately. Love the great prices and that everyone who I’ve bought from always sends a thank you note. My last purchase also came with a koozie covered in lemons! Too sweet.
- Even though neither of us have kids yet – we’re always talking about our future children and all of the silly fun things we want to do with them. I greatly enjoyed this Money Peach episode about setting up college funds for your kids and how to make it easy for friends and family to give the gift of education. I love this idea for a gift for our friends who do already have kids and hope they set up ways to gift toward their kid’s college education.
- We’re heading to a summer BBQ tomorrow so I’ve been scouring food blogs for ideas of what to bring. Currently considering this Pesto Potato Salad, this Grilled Corn Salad, and/or maybe these Smoked Jalapeno Poppers. YUM!
- I can’t believe that Apple is valued at a trillion dollars. That is such a staggering number. Remember when we were using those (now-old-school) colored iBooks?!

- I’m in Vienna today after a lovely day hiking in Innsbruck, and in a couple more days we’re off to Berlin! Whirlwind trip, for sure, a little reminiscent of our earlier trip to Europe this year when we hit up Barcelona for four days!
- I’m constantly jotting down notes on post-its and scraps of paper or texting myself reminders. This may be an answer to my very real need!
- I used to be a devout reader of Refinery 29’s ‘Money Diaries‘ series, but I stopped reading them as religiously a while ago. Enter Desirae who pointed me to last week’s, um, interesting profile, and color me hooked yet again!
- So appreciated The Financial Diet’s article this week on ‘4 Employee Benefits You Might Be Missing Out On, From An HR Professional.’ Reminiscent, to me, of Stella’s rundown series last fall on ‘Be Friends With (Your) Benefits’! Read parts one, two, and three if you missed them!
