It’s A Thing 2.2.18

  1. I’m in New Orleans this week for The Special Event Conference! They choose NOLA this year because it’s the city’s 300th birthday. Wish I was going to be here through the weekend – Mardi Gras starts next week! Feeling super inspired to try making my own king cake.
  2. img_6804Have you tried the Trader Joe’s Cowboy Bark? It is a delicious combo of dark chocolate covered toffee, pretzels, joe joe cookies, peanuts, almonds, with a touch of salt.
  3. The Oscars feel like they are right around the corner! One of my favorite movies of the year, The Big Sickis nominated for original screenplay and you can watch it free with Amazon Prime right now. If you haven’t seen it yet, you have to watch it, it is so so good!!
  4. I am looking forward to all of the delicious Super Bowl pot-lucking this weekend. I’ve got my eye on this Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Dip, these Mini Football Oreos and these 7 Layer Dip Wonton Cups.

  1. Okay, campers, rise and shine, and don’t forget your booties ’cause it’s cooooold out there today. That’s right, woodchuck-chuckers – it’s… GROUNDHOG DAY! One of my favorite movies of all time, I can’t wait to watch it this weekend!

  2. We went to school with a guy who has since gone on to become a very prolific wedding photographer. I drooled over his year in review for 2017 and am definitely taking some cues from him for crafting a shot list for my upcoming wedding parties!
  3. Discovered @thatcheeseplate on Instagram this week and am endlessly drooling over their perfect platings.
  4. Also counting down the seconds to Super Bowl 52! As a born-and-raised New Englander I have some obvious reasons to be excited, but also the food, commercials, and hanging all day with friends are always some great highlights, too. I have these recipes bookmarked (still deciding exactly what my contribution will be): 11 Super Bowl Eats from Carly, Super Bowl Snack Ideas, Football-Themed Treats, a new take on Baked Potato Skins, and Healthy Dips from Any Vegetable.
